Diamonds In Your Midst
By: Ted Segura
You have heard the famous advertisement DIAMONDS are FOREVER. We have also heard of stories of how many people leave their place and travel far to look for diamonds. We are not surprised why people go after these diamonds because it is obvious that this is a precious gem which translates to priceless, richness and wealth.
Do you remember the time when your fiancé asked you to marry him then gave you an engagement ring? It was a diamond ring right? Regardless of its size but you were extremely thrilled and were proud to show it to your family and friends. Why? Because it meant that you both found a precious gem in each other. And just like the ad, DIAMONDS are FOREVER, you both want to be with each other forever and that’s the reason why you want to get married.
I remember when Ted, gave me an engagement ring, I would wipe it almost everyday to keep it shining. Now in comparison to our relationship, I ask myself am I working on it all the time to keep it fresh, exciting and full of love in order to keep it shining like my diamond ring? Or am I just keeping it too long sometimes in my Jewelry box? Have I even come to the point that I don’t wear it anymore that left it dull? We may not be aware of it but our relationship with our spouses can lose its brilliance.
I read a story of a gem collector who went to an amateur gem show. And as gem collectors would do, he rummaged around in the boxes, found a stone in one box marked $15. The collector bought it for $10 after some haggling,. After about two years, he was able to sell the same stone for $2,280,000 dollars because it was an 1,905 carat sapphire.
Now haven’t we seen couples who don’t value each other anymore that they have become like that piece of rock in the eyes of the owner because it turned dull all covered with dust? We definitely don’t want that to happen to us!
Moreover, have you also heard of someone having a Diamond mind? Not that he is always thinking of diamonds but his thoughts are genuine, thinks of success, has full of love, wisdom and great values. It is important for us to acquire a diamond mind in order to be successful not only in our achievements but also in the aspect of having a successful relationship.
Would you like to keep your relationship shining? Be always a diamond for each other polishing it everyday. You are both priceless that it’s too costly to lose the other. Have a Diamond mind!
