OK, you have a lot of shopping to do and a short time to get there.
Do you just head to whichever mall you can think of and hope to find what you’re after? Not very efficient.
There’s a better way.
The key to efficiency at the shopping center malls is finding the ones with the most stores. That way, your odds of finding what you want improve significantly. You don’t want a regular sized shopping mall — you want a mega-mall. Here are the top five malls in Dallas/Fort Worth, ranked by number of merchants:
#5 - Galleria Dallas, Dallas (198 merchants): Although this isn’t the largest shopping center mall in Dallas/Fort Worth, many consider it the showplace of malls. With 4 levels, you could spend hours exploring. And Galleria Dallas has ice skating, to boot.
#4 - Town East Mall, Mesquite (199 merchants): Originally opened in 1971, Town East underwent an extensive remodel in 2005, creating neighborhoods called Cityside, Lakeside, and Parkside. Town East is THE mall for the eastern Dallas metro area.
#3 - Stonebriar Centre, Frisco (206 merchants): Stonebriar Centre is one of the newest malls in the DFW area, opening in 2000. The architecture may be the most interesting of any shopping mall in the DFW metroplex.
#2 - The Parks at Arlington, Arlington (219 merchants): The 2002 remodeling and addition added an extra 400,000 square feet to this mall. Besides the abundance of shopping, there is plenty of entertainment here with the ice rink, carousel and AMC Theaters.
And the granddaddy of them all "¦
#1 is Grapevine Mills in Grapevine, boasting 237 merchants, at last count! This monster is nearly one mile around. And there’s a lot more about Grapevine Mills than just the number of stores. It’s over 1.6 million square feet of shopping mall and it is estimated that 1/4th of the population of DFW (over 5.5 million people) visit Grapevine Mills every 3 months!
So if you need to visit the maximum amount of stores in the shortest amount of time, head on out to one of these top 5 shopping center malls. You’re bound to find what you’re looking for.
