Gas Grills Beat Out Charcoal Grills, 8 to 4!

By: Anne Clarke

Is buying a gas grill an upgrade from a charcoal grill? Or is it just selling out? The debate between gas grills and charcoal grills is strong. Which is best for you? Warning: this article leans greatly toward the benefits of gas grills!

Benefits of gas grills:

· Gas grills are much easier to clean that charcoal grills.

· You do not have to wait for gas grills to head up. You can start cooking within a few minutes of turning it on.
· Rather than having to deal with charcoal, a lighter, and lighter fluid, you just need to flip the switch, and voila! You have turned on your grill.
· You can regulate the temperature of gas grills more easily. You can change the temperature from hi to lo, just like you can on your indoor stove.
· Gas grills often come with all the hook-ups, including extra prep space, larger spaces to cook on (with front, middle and back burners as well as bun-warming racks), and other great details that charcoal grills cannot muster.
· Your food will not taste like lighter fluid!
· Less accidents are associated with gas grills.
· Gas grills can be used with ease at any time of the year — there is no reason to use them only during the summer.

Benefits of charcoal grills:

· Some people say that the food that comes off of them tastes better — others say that it tastes like lighter fluid!
· Some are more portable than gas grills.
· Sometimes it can be fun to stand around the charcoal, waiting, and waiting for the flames to die down.
· For some families, it is a tradition to continually try to light the charcoal grill — and then finally order in pizza, instead.

Alright, so you were warned in advance that this article was going to lean toward the benefits of gas grills. But really, can you think of any reason why you would want a charcoal grill when you could get a gas grill, instead?

So, which kind of grill are you going to get? The answer should be clear: go with a gas grill. You deserve the best!
