Hoodia Gordonii Research Revealed

Outside of the research done by PhytoPharm, there is much research information that has been offered to the public. This is not to say that there is not a lot of research going into Hoodia Gordonii as a diet supplement. Several million dollars is being put toward the research of Hoodia each year. The companies that are conducting this research are not making it available to the public.
One study that has been made public was conducted by Brown University. This study concluded that Hoodia acts on nerve cells that monitor the level of sugar in your bloodstream. This is a significant finding in the way Hoodia suppresses your appetite, as your sugar level drops you naturally begin to feel hungry. Hoodia acts on the nerves that detect this drop and fool them into thinking that your sugar level is normal. This makes your body think that you have recently eaten. Because your brain thinks you have eaten, it will not send a signal to the stomach that you should be hungry.
One of the findings of the study also showed a rise in ATP in lab rats after they had been given a dose of Hoodia Gordonii extract. ATP is a chemical that raises your metabolism and energy level. This research shows that Hoodia may have more of an effect on weight loss than was originally thought. This could be a very significant advancement in our understanding of the dietary possibilities of Hoodia Gordonii. Actual Hoodia Gordonii users have also reported effects similar to those in the studies.
