So you have herd about the right hand ring but are not sure how you should pick one for your self. Your not sure what stones you should have on your right hand ring or what metal you should use, your not even sure what a right hand ring should look like.

Most right hand rings are worn everyday just like a wedding band or engagement ring. If you are planning to wear your ring every day it is import to pick a sturdy ring design a good metal and a strong gem stone. Diamonds have a hardness of 10 on the Mohn’s scale, with the sapphire coming in second. You would not want to pick an emerald gem stone for your right hand ring because the emerald is a softer stone for a ring that is going to be worn every day. Some other soft stones that are nice to wear but not for a ring that is worn every day would be topaz, citrin, perdoits, and garnets.

What metal should you use:

The metal you use is up to your personal preference white or yellow. If you are looking for gold many right hand rings come in 14kt and 18kt yellow gold, platinum is also very popular to use. If your budget will not allow for the expensive platinum you can choose 14kt or 18kt white gold white gold is more affordable then platinum. Pink gold is also becoming a very popular color gold used in right hand rings.

So how do you know what a right hand ring looks like:

There are many more designs for a right hand ring then the engagement ring and the designs of a right hand ring my be unique there are some common threads that you may notice. The right hand ring will normally not have a large diamond or gem stone in the center more often then not the right hand ring will have smaller diamonds and gem stones on the ring. The right hand ring is a little wider then the engagement ring, and the right hand ring is more extravagant then an engagement ring.

What ever you choose pink sapphire, diamonds, or any of the other beautiful colored gem stones, what ever metal you pick for your ring white gold yellow gold or platinum the right hand ring is the perfect way to show off your personality and your independence.
