If you are a petite woman who is tired and frustrated of continually shopping for clothing that is too large or fits improperly, consider shopping at stores or boutiques that have a special petite section. Usually, petite women must purchase clothing that is too large or too long, then work to have the items specially tailored so it best fits their body. This practice can be costly and time consuming, in addition to having an end product that still does not quite fit right. The biggest complaints of individuals who are of petite size, but also have a larger chest is that petite clothing is cut generous enough in the bust. You may need to buy a size larger to ensure your chest is properly covered, and then have the other measurements of the garment altered.

Many women who are of a petite size shop in the junior section in order to find clothing items that best fits their dimension. This is often frustrating as junior clothing is of a designer typically too young for more mature women who wish to be taken seriously.
