NFL Gifts - How to Buy a Gift for a Sports Fan (when you’re not a fan)
By: Lee Ann Czerwonka
Buying sports memorabilia or gifts for a Nascar, NFL (enter sport), fan appears to be much more a
difficult task than it really is. Sports fans are extremely enthusiastic about their sport, whether it’s Nascar, NFL, NHL, etc. With a few simple basics, the sports fan gift giving headaches can be alleviated.
1. A die-hard fan can never have too much of his/her team’s merchandise, ever. There are always new
and innovative ways for a fan to display the team’s colors. Northpole Ltd has just introduced a
Conversation Chair (a portable fold up double chair with cup holders) showing the NFL Team Logos.
A single portable fold up chair is also available. Great for the fans with little ones playing football. (me!)
2. A banner or flag doesn’t have to be for outside. Often fans have a room (in my case, two)
dedicated to their favorite team. A 3’ x 5" flag displaying the NFL team of choice is a great wall hanging.
3. Be sure to only buy Licensed sports merchandise for gifts. I’ve been tempted (and given in)
to buying less expensive non-licensed products. I’ve found that the licensed products are higher
quality, therefore lasting longer, displaying truer and bolder colors; therefore, giving more value
for the money. I’ve owned the same Carolina Panthers sweatshirt since the team was originated.
Price comparison sites abound on the web, offering hugely competitive pricing.
4. Coffee mugs and beer steins will never disappoint a sports fan. New designs are continually
being created making mugs & steins, along with key rings, one of my favorite gift giving choices.
With these words of wisdom that I learned from experience, happy gift giving!
