Seven Superlatives Of Six Flags Mall Arlington Texas

By: Steve Moreland

Six Flags Mall Arlington, located at the southeast corner of 360 and Division Street, was opened in 1970 and was one of the earliest Dallas-Fort Worth shopping malls. Keep reading to find out the seven superlatives of Six Flags Mall Arlington, Texas.

Six Flags Mall has some fond memories for me. Many years ago (no, you may not ask how many), a girlfriend and I used to split our time between Six Flags Mall and the now defunct Forum 303 Mall.

It’s true that Six Flags Mall has lost some of its luster over the years, but there are still seven superlative reasons to shop at Six Flags Mall.

1. Where the fun is. It’s very close to the most popular attractions in the DFW metroplex - Ameriquest Field (Home of the Texas Rangers), Hurricane Harbor and Six Flags Over Texas. So if you’re headed to any of these places for a day of fun and need a swimsuit, new hat, some comfortable walking shoes, or other items, Six Flags Mall is only minutes away. Plus if you’re melting from the Texas heat while at Six Flags, take a short visit to Six Flags Mall and walk around in air-conditioned comfort.

2. Dillard’s Clearance Center. Talk about some deals! This place is loaded with them. There are all kinds of clothing here for men, women and children, some as much as 75% 0 80% off their original price. Just give yourself plenty of time to look around - there’s that much here.

3. Tinseltown Six Flags. If you love movies, Tinseltown Six Flags has nine screens showing the latest releases. For convenience, you can enter from the parking lot or from inside the mall.

4. One-of-a-Kind Stores. If you’re looking for unique stores, Six Flags Mall is the place. You’ll find stores like Cristo Te Ama Leather, Dickies, Jakk Mastere paintings, Liquidation Center, Burke’s Outlet, and Mindscape Gifts & Collectibles.

5. Furniture. There are several options for finding unique pieces of furniture to round out your room’s décor. There are six tenants that may have that special piece of furniture you’re looking for.

6. Knick Knacks Crafts and Antiques Mall. This mall-within-a-mall is reason enough to make the drive to Arlington. I didn’t do an exact count, but there’s got to be at least 100 booths in here. I found the perfect carousel horse for my foyer at home. I’ve been looking for some time now, and I’ve seen some, but they’ve either been too big or too expensive, or both. I didn’t buy it because $400 is a bit much to spend without checking with my wife first.

7. USA Baby. OK, you need that special baby gift, or even some new clothes for your baby that’s growing out of everything weekly. Come to Six Flags Mall and visit USA Baby for a huge selection of all your baby’s needs.

So there you go - seven superlatives of Six Flags Mall Arlington. As they say down south, "Come and stay a spell."
