What is it with the lingerie designers and manufacturers? They seem to be in partnership with the bathing suit industry in establishing their prices. It seems like the more skin shown and the less fabric used, the more expensive the item!

I went shopping with my fiancé last week, first for lingerie and then for a new swimsuit.
We only bought couple pairs of thongs, a tiny nightie, and a bikini and it was over $200!
I couldn’t have put all of the stuff together and made a t-shirt and it was $200.

Okay, enough of my ranting about the expense of lingerie and bathing suits, it seems they are a necessary evil and we do get the benefit of getting to see our ladies wear them, right?

For us guys it is a hard thing to comprehend because guys are simple. We go buy a pair of boardshorts for the beach for under $50 in most cases and for bed our birthday suit will do just fine. But, we have to understand that our ladies are wired differently and having a nice new negligee to wear makes her feel sexy. The thing that is hard for guys to bear in mind is that the lingerie is not for the guy. Guys, I am talking to you, listen up so you don’t mess up, “the lingerie is not for you!”

Okay, now that we have that straight let’s take a look at our options for shopping for lingerie.

The thing that most guys do without thinking is jump in the car and drive down to the local mall to visit the girls from the Lingerie Bowl, you know the ones with the perfect bodies. On top of fighting traffic and burning $3 a gallon to get there you have to deal with crowds and people looking at you like you’ve lost your mind when you go walking into the lingerie shop by yourself.

So, what’s your other option? You should so what I do and shop online. You don’t have to fight the traffic or the crowds and you don’t have to deal with the annoying sales clerk playing her little “you’re so sweet” routine on you to try to make you buy more than you intended. On top of that you will find a better selection and get the lingerie delivered right to your door. I don’t know about you, but I like option two better. Give it a try and you will never go back to the mall.
