Finding that perfect gift can be one of the hardest things to do when holidays roll around. It is hard to keep up with all of the people you know and their birthdays. You might rarely have enough time to find that perfect gift. It is so common to wait to the last minute to buy gifts. Maybe you don’t have a gift ahead of time because you forgot about party or maybe your schedule is so packed you just haven’t gotten around to shopping yet. Well here are some tips to keep you ready for those parties.

At the beginning of every month get out that calendar and make a list of all the birthdays or anything else that may require a gift. Once you have it written down you can then make a short list of things to look for on your next shopping trip. Some gifts are just too easy to buy. You may be walking through the store and something pops out at you, telling you it is the perfect gift for that special occasion. When this happens, don’t second guess yourself and buy the item right away. Store it until you need it. Make a mark on your list that you have already bought a gift for that occasion and make a note of where you stored it. It is shocking how many people store gifts and have to buy something else when they forget where they put it.

When you have more than one child it is hard to get everything you want to get them. One thing you can do is start shopping early. Have a good hiding place that they will not find and store your items there. You can get a colored tote for each child and store it in the top of your closet, where you know they can’t look. You can find really good deals throughout the year and toss them in the totes as you find them. When you are on a budget, this tactic really helps.
